Adam is the chief instructor for Self Defence Canterbury, having begun his martial arts training at the age of 4 and having trained in several Martial Arts and Self Defence systems over the years. Still training and learning to this day and is always open to learning more.
Adam began training others after a friend asked for a few pointers on how to defend themselves in a last resort moment.
Since then he has trained those from a variety of backgrounds.
Adam's other great love, fitness comes from a rocky start, firstly seeing the London Marathon on TV as a child and training to be able to complete at 18, but 3 days before the marathon he injured his ankle (an injury that blights him to this day) and was unable to take part. Adam then ballooned to 20st (280lb/127kg) before finally achieving his dream 9 years later and has been a runner ever since, completing multiple marathons, 10ks, half marathons and adrenaline based activities and wants to help others achieve their fitness dreams as well.

Matt has always been involved in sport starting rugby at aged 5, moving onto contact rugby at aged 7 and representing Oxfordshire from the age 14 and gaining regional honours.
Matt started his martial arts experience with karate through an after school club but quickly moved on to judo where even whilst still orange belt he began to already succesfully fight out of age and weight classes and was offered a place on various developmental programs based at the British school of excellence.
Matt studied Physical Education, Sports and Exercise Science at Canterbury Christ Church University. During his time at university Matt also became a REPS accredited gym instructor and personal trainer. While studying he heard about the A.R.D. system and after his credentials were recognised, was allowed to take the A.R.D. level 1 instructors course.
Matt currently is living in Oxford, taking classes and looking forward to begin his own training in level 2.

Greg has always had a keen interest in the martial arts, cultivated by his father before him practising Aikido for a number of years and being brought up with this as a norm.
Starting his martial arts training at a relatively young age and continuing into adulthood Greg also helping to instruct in Kung Fu (Tiger Crane) before unfortunately finding it hard to commit full time to his training. Despite this looking to improve and for new opportunities with his training.
Coming to university at Canterbury Christ Church University and discovering Self Defence in its own right rather than under the martial arts banner of the more traditional systems. Since then he has looked to develop his training and hopes to look toward an instructorship within self defence.
